BREW RATIO

12g coffee : 200g water

STEP ONE : Prepare your coffee

Boil fresh water. While heating, weigh 12g of coffee beans and grind to a medium consistency (similar to table salt).

STEP TWO : Rinse the filter

Place the paper filter into the Clever Dripper and rinse thoroughly with hot water to preheat and remove any paper taste. Discard the rinse water.

STEP THREE : Add coffee

Place the Clever Dripper on your scale and add the ground coffee. Tare the scale to zero.

Note : Keep the coffee bed level for even extraction.

STEP FOUR : Add water (Immersion)

Start your timer and pour 200g of hot water over the coffee grounds.

Note : Ensure all grounds are fully immersed.

STEP FIVE : Steep (up to 2:00)

Allow the coffee to steep for 2 minutes.
Gently stir or break the crust to ensure full extraction.

STEP SIX : Release & serve

Place the Clever Dripper onto your cup or server and allow the coffee to drain completely.

Note:

  • Fast drain (<30s) → grind too coarse
  • Slow drain (>60s) → grind too fine
